Dear Pastor & Friends:

This morning we received a call from the Hospital here in Guadalajara. It was to tell us that they have programmed the kidney surgery for this coming week. The operation will consist of removing Carolyn’s right kidney. It is filled with cysts both inside and outside and has put her in the hospital four times during the last several months because one of the cysts becomes infected. She will be admitted to the hospital Sunday morning, January 15. They will check her over and if all is well, she will be operated on early in the morning on Monday, January 16.

If there are no major complications, and as she recovers her health once again, the way will be open for a kidney transplant. They just announced that in Spain this past year they transplanted 4,500 organs. So we believe we are in the right place at the right time! Please keep her in your prayers as she goes through this major surgery. Our daughter Joy will be sending out updates as news becomes available.
