September 2007 |

Dear Friends, Summer is over and the last few months seem to have flown by. A lot has happened over the last 3 months. The summer kicked off the last week of June with VBS at the Christian Baptist Church. Thirty children attend faithfully every single day. The first Sunday of July we had the closing ceremony for the VBS and 27 of the children, with their parents came. The children quoted verses and sang songs that they had learned during the week. I preached the Gospel and the seed of God’s Word was planted in the hearts of those attending, some for the very first time. Please pray that we will see fruit from this ministry. Two days later we returned to the States for an 11 month furlough. I will be visiting many churches presenting our ministry. Please pray that we will be a blessing in the churches we visit and that we will raise the money we need for our special projects and that God would lead new churches to take us on for monthly support. Starting in August, we began remodeling the church building which we just purchased in Sofia. After we bought the building we saved some of the money from the loan we received so that we could put in new windows, insulate the building, install new bathrooms and classrooms and add a kitchen. Unfortunately, the new windows had not been in the building for even 12 hours when a group of people came by and put bricks through every one of them. We re-ordered the glass and this time put up metal shutters to help prevent that from happening again. While we are in the States we need to raise funds for 3 different projects: $50,000 for the church building in Sofia $20,000 for a used 4 wheel drive vehicle $15,000 for the translation and publishing of the Awana material into Bulgarian Thank you for your prayers and support. Blessings, Steve |
