Dear Pastor and Friends,

The beautiful weather of spring is gone and now we are left with the sun scorching summer. Every summer here in Greece we observe the illustration of green herb withering and the chaff blowing away in the wind. The fields during summer here seem left barren both physical and spiritually.

God is always faithful, and it is during these times that he proves Himself the most. I had the privilege to work with a fellow missionary in the island of Zakynthos. What a blessing it was to have 25 children in the summer camp. I had a great time of fellowship with other workers from Italy and America. At first no one knew what to expect; we just prayed that God would bless and that hearts would be touched and lives changed. God proved His faithfulness, and on Thursday night, Thodori, a young Bulgarian boy, whom no one had met before camp, asked Jesus to come into his heart and save him. How amazing it was to see young hearts so sensitive to the Holy Spirit that without any planning or afore thought we were all gathered around the fire weeping and praising God. It was such a phenomenon to see this in Greece.

Summer is a very tough time for ministry in Greece, especially in Athens. Everyone leaves the city trying to escape the heat. We pray that it is the wind blowing away the chaff and leaving behind the good fruit. Please pray for us as we continue to minister here.

Amalia is growing so fast and changing so much. Please pray that God will give us wisdom as we learn to face the awesome responsibility of parenting.

This summer is also a time of great change in the ministry with the Iranians. In addition to the ministry in Athens, there is an opportunity for another ministry in the port city of Patra. Please pray that God will open the door and prepare the way for the establishment of a more permanent ministry there.

Thank you for your support and prayers!

Serving together for His glory,

James and Cristina Sinde
