December 10, 2008

Dear Praying Friends,

I turned one last month; I can’t believe a year has passed because I have spent most of my life in the back seat of the car, because my parents take me everywhere they go. Up and down this huge boulevard that crosses Athens in half from my house to the church and all these people pinching my cheeks and asking my mommy what new things I can do? Or did I tell you, I can walk on my own now. And what new words do I say? What can I say? I’m only One!
In the short time of my life, I have met a lot of neat people like missionaries with Manna and neat pastors that came to see the work and some friends from Oklahoma, my grandparents’ professor from BBC, a whole bunch of people from Florida, they had to get 2 busses so I got to go too, and you should see all these people looking at me, I love it.
I have been to many places and have entertained many people everywhere I go. It seems to me that this is my job while I’m here until I get a little older. We have services every Sunday morning and Bible studies throughout the week, and we have been helping out in a Persian Refugee Ministry every Thursday. I help out by sharing my diapers with my friends, clean ones, and making the older people smile.
November was very busy for me. I helped mommy and daddy fix up the new Church building. I helped Mommy and Yiayia paint, and I’m really good at finding screws that Daddy and Papu dropped. Once they put the carpet in and covered up the hard marble, I showed everyone that I could walk by myself. Now my friends and I have a fun nursery where we can learn about Jesus and sing songs.
I would like to thank everyone for my comfy car seat and all the other neat things and all the nice clothes that you have brought me from America, it really helps Mom and Dad and makes me happy.
This week Mommy and Daddy didn’t take me anywhere in the car. I heard mommy and daddy say that there are big kids throwing tantrums downtown. What is a tantrum anyway, but these big kids are really bad. They burn things and throw rocks at the policemen. I heard them talk about how we will not be able to go downtown to see the Christmas tree because they burned it too. Please pray that God will give the Prime Minister wisdom, and for my parents and grandparents will be able to reach them with the Gospel.

Thank you for your prayers!

James, Cristina, and Amalia Sinde
