Dear Pastor and friends,
Spring is in the
air. Greeks thrive on warm weather. It is amazing to see how nice
weather makes people friendlier. I have been evangelizing with my
father in-law and some friends in Omonia square in Athens. Along
with tracts and New Testaments we have been giving out calendars
called “Ο Καλός Σπόρος,” “The Good Seed.” Please pray that as we
approach Πάσχα (Resurrecting Sunday), that The Good Seed will take
root and produce a bountiful harvest.
After much turmoil and
lamentation, Amalia cut her first tooth. She is five months old now,
and she has grown so much. She has been a great blessing in our
lives. Please pray for God to give us wisdom as we are new to
parenting.
My Greek continues to
improve, and I am now able to enjoy Mr. Dimakos’ preaching without a
translator. I look forward to the day that I will be able to witness
to someone in Greek, and have a full conversation with them with no
mistakes.
Please pray that God will
give our leader’s wisdom in dealing with the economic situation. The
continuous
devaluation of the dollar has taken a serious toll not only on us
but foreign missions in general. Due to the situation with the
dollar alone, we have experienced over a forty-percent loss of the
little support we came with. At the moment we are barely covering
insurance and tax payments, we have not been able to make a payment
towards our schooling which is $2,000 for this year. We are
remaining faithful to God’s calling and pray that God will bless
while we contact new churches for more support.
Thank you for your support and prayers!
Serving together for His glory,
James, Cristina, and Amalia Sinde
