Dear Pastor and Friends,

Now that we are four and a half months from our return date, we are certainly Hungering for Hungary!

And our people are the same as they keep asking when are we coming back and telling us how much they miss us.  We miss them as well but wee are so thankful to hear of their continued faithfulness in our absence.

Just today as we talked with them via Skype (isn't technology wonderful!), they reported good services in spite of a sudden cold spell.  Not only are the services continuing to go well, but the extra outreach programs are as well.  The baseball training sessions continue to draw more kids and their parents and they are all looking forward to the baseball camp again this summer to be held two short weeks after our return.

Being a math tutor, Zoltan has also organized a math tutoring session initially for the kids of the church but now many more are coming every Saturday or ever other Saturday.  This is also an inroads to reaching the parents.  Please continue to pray for these different avenues of outreach as we try to reach the lost in Hungary.

In the meantime, our furlough continues its hectic pace.  In just two seeks we traveled from Florida to Michigan and back to Springfield, a total of over 4000 miles.  During that time we experienced the power of your prayers for us in that we were protected from being involved in two potentially very serious accidents.  Thank you for your faithful prayers for us.

We want to also thank you for generous Christmas gifts we received.  They were a great blessing to us.  We enjoyed a wonderful week with almost all of us together in Florida with Dan's mom.  These are treasured memories we will take back with us.

God bless each of you as we continue to serve Him in 2009.
