…Sir, we would see Jesus.
John 12:21

Dear Prayer Partners,

Thank you for another year of your faithful prayers and support. 2011 was a year full of hope and though we saw some discouraging times, ultimately we saw people grow in their faith. We had a record year of visitors coming to church, baptisms and overall spiritual growth, resulting in practical steps being taken to apply the knowledge gained through discipleship, Bible study and corporate worship. All this occurred during a year when several left the church to attend churches closer to their homes or because they grew weary in serving in a small church which requires more service and more sacrifice to see that all areas of service are covered. Your prayers are felt as we enter 2012 with hope of what God will do in the coming year.

The fourth quarter of 2011 has been like most times…great joy mixed with sorrow. In December, Pastor Vladimir, with whom we ministered side by side for 2 years, went home to be with the Lord. Pastor Vladimir was one of those who came to know the Lord during the reign of communism and faced many difficulties as a believer. He labored in the face of adversity and his testimony was evident as over 200 attended his funeral and gave testimony of this man’s life. We only had the opportunity to work with him in his later years of ministry when his health was failing, but we recently met Peter who is now a pastor in Moscow. Peter was in Pastor Vladimir’s Sunday school class as a youth. Pastor Vladimir leaves behind a legacy of faithfulness to God and to the Gospel. He also leaves behind his wife Vera and six children (ages 13 and up). Please pray for strength and comfort for Vera and the family as they adjust to life without a husband and father. Please pray for Vera as she works to provide for her family.

Prayer Requests:

1) A new meeting place for our church. We are temporarily holding
church services in our home until a new location can be arranged.
2) Pastor Vladimir’s wife, Vera, and her family.
3) Numerical and spiritual growth in our English Bible Studies
4) A new Russian Bible study to begin this year.
5) Souls to be saved in 2012.
6) Growth in the church.

For His glory,
Jim, Laura, Alaina, Katie & Emily
