Dear Prayer Partners,

We are currently in the US to raise additional support. Please note our U.S. contact information on this letter and update your records accordingly. The fall and winter months brought new visa laws and financial concerns brought about by 18 percent inflation combined with the devaluation of the dollar. However, we are blessed to report that we continued to see God at work in Moscow!

November
I was privileged to host the annual Russian fellowship (XCBB) meeting in Moscow. Missionaries and Russian nationals engaged in intense periods of prayer for the visa situation, for new missionaries coming to Russia, for our current and future church members, leaders and pastors and for evangelism throughout Russia. Compilation of Bible College curriculum is ongoing. Please pray for the team working together on this project, which will be a great tool for training future spiritual leaders in Russia.

Grace Baptist Church in Moscow is getting serious about prayer! We held our first “Evening of Prayer” beginning at 9 p.m. Each of us in attendance admitted that we didn’t expect the meeting to extend past midnight, but at midnight it was unanimous that the Holy Spirit was just getting started. We were energized through praying, praising God through testimonies and music, reading God’s word, and fellowship. At about 4 a.m. we ended the evening praying for Russia. In January we held our second “Evening of Prayer” with similar results!

December/January
The New Year’s Holiday, as it is referred to in Russia, took many of our church members out of town. Nevertheless, we took to the streets and handed out about 1200 invitations to our Christmas service. We had two visitors who heard a clear presentation of the Gospel! Praise the Lord!

We held a Christmas party for our daughters’ friends. Eight girls and one mom were in attendance. The girls read a Christmas play and we shared the Gospel with all in attendance. Please pray that they will gain understanding and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ!
