The Hutchinson Family
Missionaries to Russia

  About Us

Like a lot of kids who are saved and called early, Laura tried to discount the call of God on her life until she had completed college.  Jim, on the other hand, had been busy in ministry, traveling with the singing group Wings of Morning.  During one of his singing dates, he surrendered to full-time ministry, assuming that he would be called into evangelism.

After finishing his work with the singing group, he married Laura and moved to Springfield to attend Baptist Bible College.  He continued ministering with the group Commissioned, singing and preaching in churches.

After his 1998 graduation, Jim and his family moved to Arizona to work as interns with Thomas Road Baptist Church in Phoenix.  There he assisted Pastor Ken Adrian and Laura directed the ladies ministries.  Jim says he had lots of opportunity to preach and teach. He also served for a time as worship leader.

The couple took a survey trip to Russia in 2000.  There, the call was confirmed for them.  Jim says, "People kept asking us when we could come back.  The question has been on our hearts ever since.  We pray we can get back as soon as possible to get to the work."
