Dear Friends:
SIMPLY AMAZING
Temple set a goal of raising 10% of the projected building costs
and has now surpassed that goal. Several of our supporting
churches have sent offerings toward the church building. Thank
you so much. We continue to covet your prayers and your support
as we move even closer to the goal of breaking ground on
Valentine’s Day this year! We are waiting for bids to come in
from the contractors so we will have a more accurate estimate
for building costs. Meanwhile, we are making plans for the
location of our services while we are out of the building. The
people are very excited and so ready to get on with this
project. We are trusting God to walk alongside us and make the
crooked ways straight.
SIMPLY WAITING
We have several lost adults attending regularly, and they
are starting to ask more questions and recognize their need of
salvation. It really takes patience and consistency to see
English people come to Christ. Please pray that we will keep the
light before them and that their eyes will be opened and heart
made ready to receive Christ. Pray for Steve King, Pete Walker,
Monica Dell, Christian, and Paul.
SIMPLY SERVING
We baptized one adult in November and our baby church, Hope
Baptist Church, baptized their first two! It is always a
glorious time when folks are ready to obey by baptism.
SIMPLY TRUSTING
As we look toward the unknown days of 2009 we trust the Lord
to take us through. The building brings many challenges.
Logistics of keeping the people together and ministered to while
in temporary accommodation requires us to lean heavily upon the
Lord for wisdom and direction. Training a pastor for Temple and
working with the Bible College keeps us on our toes. God is
good! He has allowed us to serve Him. What a privilege. And
thank you for being a part of our ministry.
