Jesus said to His disciples in the gospel of Mark, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel…” but we cannot go to all the world, therefore God is bringing all the world to us. Since God brought us to Greece in 1995 to preach the gospel, there have been great exciting times, but this coming year we are praying and anticipating greater blessings, as Athens will be hosting the Olympics Games 2004.

The Olympic Games began in Ancient Olympia in 776BC and were staged in Greece until 393AD. The first Modern Olympics were hosted in Athens in 1896. In 2004 the Olympic Games will return to its birthplace.  As the Olympics come to Athens, so will all the world! There will be more participating nations in these Olympics than ever before in its history.  The basic principles of the Olympics were to be a peace project.  A door of opportunity opens for us to sponsor this peace project and reach Greeks and many nations with the Gospel of Peace, Jesus Christ.  God is opening the door to a country that has been closed to foreign missions for centuries.

God provided us the opportunity to co work with an Independent Baptist Missionary, Bro. Feghaly, who is a product of the first BBF work in Lebanon.  Bro Feghaly is working on the home front and we are working locally to put together an evangelistic campaign, Global Outreach ATHENS, for the Glory of God.  For more information visit the Website www.goathens.org   For a young man that we recommend you sponsor, click here

Our goal is to bring a team of 100-150 young people, ½ million tracts in several languages of the world, and 50,000 Greek New Testaments and flood the city.  How can you help? 
              1st. You can begin to PRAY for “GO ATHENS 2004” campaign.
              2nd. You can participate financially and support this campaign.
              3rd. You can sponsor the young people coming on the team.

If the Lord puts upon your heart to participate in this blessed event, you can send donations marked, GO ATHENS 2004, and we will make sure that every dollar will be spent to bring the gospel to all the world as all the world is brought to our door in 2004.
