Dear Friends,

          We are looking forward to a busy summer with activities scheduled which are designed to strengthen and deepen relationships of those within our church family. This cultivation gives us opportunities to share the message of love which Christ began during His ministry. One upcoming event is the first Women’s Retreat of the International Baptist Church/ Graz. This will be a time of relaxation and renewal of spirit for our ladies. The warm spring weather also provides us with more opportunities to plan outdoor activities. American basketball has opened the doors for Curt to begin relationship building with a young international group and Melinda is walking with some of the moms of the youth who play basketball.
          We had hoped to host a MK Kamp in June, but scheduling difficulties has caused us to postpone this event. The planning process confirmed the great need of this ministry for missionary families in our corner of the world. We will ask God to guide us in the future and use us to make a difference in the lives of these culturally diverse young people.
          We have been praying for several months that God would burden individuals to provide music for our services. God has blessed us with several talented musicians who have enthusiastically shared this vision with us. We continue to ask God to broaden the scope of interest in making our worship services more exciting. The goals of our music team are to honor God in our music and to see others become involved.
          We are also praying that God will provide us with a facility of our own from which we can proclaim the Gospel to Graz and beyond. This has been an ongoing burden for us as we work through the process of building a church in a post modern society. We know the church is not a building, but in this culture it is an important aspect of being accepted as a legitimate church instead of a cult. We look forward to the time when God will answer our prayers and we can move to the next step and become more effective in fulfilling the Great Commission.
