God is good!
Let me begin by thanking those who gave to the needs of our Bridge to Life Home in Ukraine, SAFE HAVEN. Thanks to your generosity all the needs presented in our last letter HAVE BEEN MET! Enough funds came in for the winter clothes for the kids, the new beds, to add a room to the house parents' quarters AND to add insulation to the buildings. Thank you so much for your compassion! Thank you Jesus!!Jerry leaves for Athens in a few days to visit the refugee center we partner with reaching refugees through meeting physical needs. We are hoping to assist the Iranian church plant with establishing a Bible Institute for new converts. This will consist of intensive training in Bible, church planting, evangelism and discipleship.
Most of these refugees will only be in Athens for a few months, so the potential of where God might send them is staggering. We hope to equip them for ministry whether they return to their homeland or continue to migrate westward.
There is an awakening of thousands of refugees to acknowledge Jesus as Savior. We have an opportunity to not only reach Iranians in Europe, but to impact the Persian-speaking world! Please pray for God to show us the best way to be part of His work among these refugees.
After Athens, Jerry will meet a construction team in Kiev to continue work on Smile House. Smile House will be a larger version of Save Haven, a refuge for post-orphanage children. Our objectives are to hang sheetrock, and rough in the plumbing and electrical. Pray for the team’s safety and ability to accomplish our goals.
The 2nd of 3 construction trips this year will be May 13-22. If you are a welder, concrete worker, or tile layer – WE REALLY COULD USE YOUR HELP! If you don’t have these skills, we still need you to be a helper.
